Looking back at Battlefield V, it is disappointing that the game does not allow crossplay.

No, Battlefield V and other Battlefield games do not support crossplay. Also, note that there is no way to transfer your stats/progress between PC and consoles.

Enabling and Disabling Crossplay

By default, crossplay is enabled in Battlefield 2042. This means that when you start the game, you'll automatically be matched with players on other platforms within your designated pool.
